GOOD STEWARDSHIP IS OUR AIM.
The ministry of Bedrock Fishtown is funded by God’s provision through the tithes and offerings of faithful Bedrock members and attendees. Bedrock works very hard to ensure we are doing everything possible to properly manage the financial resources that God has entrusted to us. We honor God’s provision by pursuing wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of Bedrock remains beyond reproach.
Our mission is facilitated through our system of internal controls over financial reporting and our internal budgeting and reporting processes.
Members of Bedrock Church Fishtown may request a copy of our most recent budget or ask general questions about our financial practices at any time by contacting us at info@bedrockfishtown.com.
Every donation that we receive is recorded in our financial database. If you make a tax-deductible contribution to the church, we will send you a year-end statement with all of your contributions for the year. We mail these out to your home address annually during the month of January. To ensure that you receive your statement, you can always confirm your address with us by calling our main office (434-233-3010) or contacting us through the website.
Unless otherwise designated on your gift, all donations go to our general budget. If you have a question about our general budget, you can feel free to contact us by calling our main office at 434-233-3010. We also encourage all of our members to pick up a copy of the new yearly budget every November and contact an elder with any questions.
If you designate that your gift should be allocated towards a specific fund (missions, Christmas Missions Offering, Believe, etc.), your gift will be directed only towards that fund.
The main difference between “Tithe” and “Offering” is not in the allocation of the funds (they both go to funding our general budget), but rather in the meaning behind the words. Tithe refers to the traditional term in the Old Testament where the people of God were asked to give the first 10% of their income back to God. “Offering” refers to any additional money beyond your “tithe” that you would like to give to the work of God through the Bedrock. They both serve the same practical purpose as far as designation to our budget but some people choose to separate their donation into the tithe (10% of their gross income) and offering (any additional money that they would like to donate above and beyond their tithe).
For all of our donations (online, cash, check, weekend service, by mail, etc.), please allow 5-7 days for it to clear your account. If you do not see that it has gone through after one week, please contact us so that we can investigate the issue.
Yes, you can. Place your cash into a clearly marked & sealed envelope, with your name, address, and contact information.
Yes. If you are not able to give at one of our weekend services but would still like to make a contribution, you can either mail in your check or cash donation, or go to our online giving and make a one-time donation.
It will take a couple days for all payments to be processed but if all the information was entered correctly, you should see a draft in your account on the day that you scheduled your payment. If you do not see it within a few days of the scheduled payment, your transaction may not have gone through. If this is the case, we will contact you to let you know that your transaction was not successful.
